Dr. Joseph Chan graduated from University of California Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cell Biology. After engaging in genetic research at a private pharmaceutical company, he has found a calling for pursuing a career in the field of dentistry rather than research. In 2000, Dr. Chan received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University. He continued to become certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry by earning his specialty degree through a two-year pediatric dental specialty training at Boston University. Dr. Chan has been practicing in Sparks, Nevada since 2002. In his spare time, Dr. Chan enjoys traveling with the family, gardening, and volunteering. He is an active participant at the Washoe School District AVID program where he counsels high school students in the college application process.
